From the beginning of Railways, specialised wagons have been required to help with the construction and maintenance of the railway corridor.

This pack brings together some of New Zealand Railways most common ballast wagon types, along with a pair of dedicated ‘Plough Vans’ types, used to spread ballast after it has been discharged. To make things more interesting, these have all been made functional – allowing you to set up and operate work trains, dumping and spreading ballast.
